aegisI just want to express my sincerest thank you for building a great bike. I bought my Aegis frame 2 years ago from Dave Bunce with Blackwell Research (formerly Bicycle Sports). I didn't think changing bikes would have that significant of an impact on my triathlon results but I was totally wrong. Attached is a picture of me at the 2007 ITU World Triathlon Championships in Hamburg, Germany. I had a breakout performance and was asked many questions and received numerous compliments on my bike and wheels. Since changing bikes, I have been very successful in regional, national and international triathlon events.

Thanks again for your attention to detail... the love in your work shows.

aegisI raced my new Zaero last month in first triathlon of the season. Earned 1st Place in 40-44 Category and 5th Overall. More importantly, 3rd fastest bike time... was beaten only by an All Army Tri Team member and a professional triathlon trainer who is also on the national sprint team. As an age grouper, I can take that. Was #46 into the water and came into the transition with only 5 bikes racked over a 13 mile course. The Zaero, mine is paired with a set of Zipps, is very strong on both the flats and the inclines. Heck, I think it might even make me swim faster. Your newest product is well worth the price. The trip to the podium last weekend justified the purchase. I've continued to race the Zaero this season and have yet to be passed on the bike leg. This carbon masterpiece is a road rocket. Well done, Aegis.

I took it for a ride yesterday and had four different cyclists catch up and tell me what a beautiful bike it is.

It rides like butter, and if it werent for my heavy wheels... it would be too light. The wind already throws me around.

I love it.

My Aegis T2 rocks! It's a perfect fit for me, and has changed the way I can transition from bike to run, which is from miserable to very, very comfortable! It's an incredible performance machine... well-built, shock-absorbent and beautiful!

My T2 has been a very "happy bike" for me. I ride it smiling, and always get complements on my "really cool wheels" while training, or even in the middle of racing! Aegis also did a fantastic job of implementing the colors/design that I chose

After two years of hard use and putting her to the test with a winning 2006 season, I decided to give her a new look with a repaint. Aegis made the process so easy! Although I would choose to keep the same color scheme (which I have loved), I decided to changethe red flame design to red hibiscus flowers in honor of my upcoming Ironman in Kona. Recently completed and reassembled, it is AWESOME!!!! Aegis did a fantastic job, once again, and I can hardly wait to take her on the road for 2007.

My Victory got me to the top of Grandfather Mountain an hour under my prior time! After two years it is still rock solid and trouble free, and still getting compliments for its great looks.

I've owned my Aro Svelte for about 5 1/2 years now, a legacy from a fellow member of the Houston Police Bicycle Relay Team. At the time I bought it, I would guess it was at least a couple of years old.

At the time, my son was an "Honored Patient" of the team, which did fundraising rides to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My wife and I were both touched by the team and their efforts, and made sure that we were at all their events, even flying out to NYC in '01, as the finished a bicoastal Houston-LA-NYC ride. When the officer retired in '01 to concentrate on running TNT marathons, I asked the team to let me "ride on" in my son's honor. I made this request despite my not-inconsiderable weight, my age (then 44) and my lack of experience cycling (never more than around the block for beer, mind you.)

Thank Goodness, you build a strong frame. Nothing broke (except my will on a few early rides).

Since then, I've logged thousands of miles on this bike I can't say enough good things about the quality of construction, the ride (no buzz!) and the way it seems to track true mile after mile. So far, my longest one day rides have been over 140 miles, but I could see myself doing much more.

I did my first Metric Century on the bike two days after I bought it (trained on a MTB) and my first Century about 3 weeks later (actually two back-to-back Centuries, over 217 miles, Houston to San Antonio). Since then, I've lost track of the Centuries, but I attribute much of my comfort on these rides to the bike.

I read about your trade-in program (what a great idea), but since you build such a nice bike, I guess I'll keep mine for a while longer. Even though it must be a '98 model or older, it looks like new. In a year or so, or when the "I gotta have a new frame fever" hits, and my wife is in a more cooperative mood, I hope the program is still in effect.

I will definitely go to Mitch's site this week and read more about the program and more on his story.

Please thank Pete for getting involved in helping families caught up in the tragedy of childhood cancer and for all of you for building such a great bike.

I got my first Trident in 2000. I got my second Trident in 2003. This fall I got the T2. I guess you could say I'm one of those "Aegis For Life" customers. Now, six Ironmans later and thousands of trouble free miles of training I think I'm knowledgeable about the product. Setting personal bike PR's of 4:57 IF and 2:20 Miami Man (half), it is my opinion that Aegis Bicycles produces one of the best products on the market. They are fast and light and I love the aggressiveness of my new T2. With a life time warranty and outstanding customer service, I would encourage anyone looking at a new tri bike to get on an Aegis - you won't be disappointed!!!
Dale O

---------------------

From the first purchase of my first tri bike I have been a loyal fan of Aegis. The T2 was the second frame I owned and this bike is a real bullet. I love the feel of carbon and the T2 seems to be carbon at it's best. With the combination of hard work and the new frame I literally went from a weak cyclist to top 5 bike split "overnight." I love the freedom of design that Aegis provides as well.

I purchased my Aegis Trident in late 2004 just prior to my first ironman distance triathlon and I have really enjoyed racing with it ever since. This bike has made a big difference in my racing, it's smooth, responsive, fast on the road and I don't feel beat up when I transition to the run.

As for the Aegis, I finally got it, fitted it, and rode it for the first time a week before the race. As a test, I did a 55 miler/30 minute brick and it was amazing coming off into the run. It was like I haven't ran at all so I made the decision right then to race with the Aegis and haven't looked back since--you were right!
--Astro

---------------------
Sick of being beaten at tris by guys on Aegis bikes. Saw the T2 at 2003 National Age Group Championship at John Cobb's place and decided then and there the T2 was for me. This is a fantastic frame and my bike splits are smokin'. Special thanks to Keith and the guidance from Mark Gray over at Landrys!!
--Jay Gauthier

---------------------
I rode a Trident for years. When it came time for me to buy a new bike, I looked around, and came right back to Aegis. My new T2 is a much appreciated blend of important features such as comfort, aerodynamics, and handling. I've had my fastest races on the T2.
--Kyle

---------------------
Thanks again for the excellent service and support. Very much appreciated. It's so nice to do business with a company that demonstrates real integrity.
--Edward Robinson

---------------------
I love the bike (T2)! I went 10:33 at Lake Placid, beating my PR by almost an hour.
--Kyle

---------------------
You have provided great customer service, and, based on your service, Aegis's reputation, and the great looks, sizing and customizing options related to the T2, I have decided to purchase one. Actually, I had a bike shop in town order one a couple weeks ago. I'm excited to get it and get out on the road. Thanks again for your help and attention to my questions.
--Todd

---------------------
I wanted to drop you a line after I rode my new Aegis for a few days. I own a 1995 "Aro" and have enjoyed riding it every time. When I bought my new Aro Svelte, Keith said I would be suprised at the difference. Well that was an understatement. The only way I can describe the difference is, riding my old Aegis is like riding a nice sedan. My new Aegis is like riding a sports car. The handling is more responsive. When you push on the pedal you move - quickly. My average speed has increased too, due to the lighter frame, and improved wheels. All in all it was money well spent. Thanks for making a great performing, and great looking bike. Keep up the good work.
--Norman

---------------------
I have been an Aegis Trident rider since '97 and have been an avid Aegis fan since. One of the reasons I bought initially was due to the absorption abilities of carbon due to back surgery the previous year, yet I had no idea how fast and smooth the bike would be.
--Robert

---------------------
Yes, now i'm happy to say you... "What a bike, this T2!" I was part of Ironman Switzerland on July, 25 and our Aegis was wonderful. Great bike. Yes. I proudly finished in 15 hours 25 minutes and 35 seconds (180 km bike in 8.01) Problem is my legs... I must drill. More and more, to stay same value of our bike. Yes, but with our bike is very simple. Just say come on :-)
So I want to say you thank you, thank you very much.
--Federico

---------------------
I just wanted to thank everyone there for my new, metallic lupine Trident I purchased at Midcoast Multisport. I took her for a little test drive at the Kennebunk Fire Co. Triathlon this weekend and she blew away the competition. I was seriously riding on air, passing people all the way. I thought your company would be happy to hear that after the race, an unknown male came up to me and asked, "Was that you on the Aegis bicycle (pause), the PURPLE Aegis bicycle?" I could only smile and say yes.
I love my new bike! Thanks so much!

I just wanted to let you know how much I love my new red "terminator" T2 bike.
Since I invested in my new red bike in May at Gateway Bicycles in Portland, I have had huge success with my triatlon season.
Blue Lake Olympic Triathlon= 4th woman overall, 1st 30-34 age group, Coeur d'Alene Ironman= 5th in age group 30-34, 18 overall woman (9th age group female); qualified for Kona!
Hagg Lake Olympic Triathlon= 4th overall female, first in 30-34 age group, Troika Half Ironman= 1st overall woman with a 4:55 time and 2:31:27 bike split.

Thank you for building such a beautiful bike!
.... my bike times continue to improve!
-- Debbie

---------------------
Test ride convinced me I had never ridden anything as nice as your bike. I continue to be impressed each time I ride it.
--Victor

---------------------
Thanks for the follow up. I took my Victory out for a ride this weekend and it was unbelievable. The ride was smooth, the bike handled well and it just about climbed the hills for me. We rode 60 miles and I actually felt like I could have gone another 60. Thanks for building a great bike and a sincere thanks to your partner Bicycle Sports for not only recommending the bike, but taking two and a half hours to fit me perfectly. You've now got another sales person in the field that will recommend Aegis every chance he gets!
--Eric

---------------------
It has been 1 year since I purchased my Aegis Victory through Nytro.....I absolutely love the frame. I am going to train to do an Ironman next year and I look forward to ordering a new T2! Thanks for the best frame that I have ever been on
--David

---------------------
Randy Swormstedt undefeated this year on the New England Triathlon circuit has won her last two races on her new T2 supplied by your company. This past weekend she won the womens overall at Fairlee VT (NETT Fairlee Great Triathlon). She bettered her last years bike time by over 4 minutes. The bike is a fantastic achievement by your company.
--Randy

---------------------
Let me tell you the bike (Trident) rides like a dream. I was in California this last week and rode it all over those little mountains. Thank you once again.
--Eric

---------------------
The Trident is fantastic! Didn't think one could be so comfortable riding in the aero position for so long. Much smoother than my Trek 5200.
--Gary

---------------------
I've told anyone who will listen about your amazing accident policy. I felt you really bent over backwards to help me replace my frame for a minimum of cost. I had ridden the Aegis I wrecked once outside, and it was like a dream after my aluminum Klein. And I've loved my Klein. I'll be so surprised if the Aegis itself doesn't take time off my ironman bike and leave me feeling better for the run. I just did Ironman Coeur d'Alene on my Klein and had a slower bike split than last year. (Got 6th in my age group but was hoping for a Kona slot.) Next year I'll be on the Aegis. About 4 years ago I remember seeing the most beautiful bike racked at a race. Now I realize it was an Aegis with the open carbon weave. And now I have one! Don't worry--I'll spread the word. Your bikes are works of art.

Thanks again,
PS--my initials in script turned out beautifully.
--Kyle

---------------------
boy I just love my trident! having ridden it in 2 ironman races, i figured I would never give it up, and its the perfect bike. well I was right, until aegis came out with the new t2. I liked the impressive look of course, but to switch me from the Trident would take alot. Perfect handling like the Trident, and optimal power transfer for climbing, and out of the saddle efforts. Well the t2 has not let me down. This for me is literally the perfect bike, especially for long rides.....super smooth, really stiff laterally, handles well, is noticably aerodynamic, and just looks really damn cool to top it all off. I love it. Thanks to keith and all the guys at Aegis for putting all the love into each Aegis bicycle. They are simply the best.
--Chris

---------------------
Thank you for getting us the Aegis in time for my last long ride. The first time on it rode 100 miles and it was excellent ? very comfortable and climbs great!
--Katy

---------------------
I am proud to say I recently went 9:33 and won my AG (45-49) and top master for the third year in a row at Ironman Brazil. All three on an Aegis Trident! Keep up the great work!
--Don

---------------------
I was so impressed with the T2, I ended up trading out my road and mtn bikes with Aegis bikes. I do consider your bikes to be a work of art. Thanks for the nice products. :-)
--Ki Song

---------------------
Though the subject is Victory, it was more of an almost victory. Not your fault. It was mine. I needed a 54 or 55 X 11 to keep up with the bike, not the 53X11 I was sprinting in and had spun out last weekend at the Veryfine GP in Littleton, MA. The result was second by 2 inches in the bike throw. My 2001 Aegis Victory is 'new to me.' The Veryfine GP was my second race with it. Its trial run was the NHCC training series Summer Solstice on 6/24. The points format with sprints every 4 laps had me wishing for more gears then too. It's the only bike I've own where the cliche 'begs to
--Bob

---------------------
We have the Metallic Winter Green Victory! The color is great. Wendy (my wife who owns the bike...) really digs it, and the feedback we are getting on it is worth the price of admission. So thanks to your crew for their work on it. She is actually still getting use to the lightness and responsiveness of it.
--Jason

---------------------
You folks set the standard for service!
--Mark

---------------------
I love my new T2. I receive compliments on this bike every race I do. I have never been happier with any product I have purchased as I am with the T2. Thanks!
--Drew

---------------------
Well, I have put some good mileage on the Victory now.... what can I say, its perfect. I think I have found a long time friend. It gets lots of compliments on its beauty as well.
Thanks guys,
--Reed

---------------------
So my new bike (2004 Aro Svelte) is built and I have been riding it for a few days now. It?s amazing. Same ride quality as my other beloved Aegis (older Aro), but so much lighter and stiffer. The bike just glides up hill. I am hoping to do my first race on it on Sunday. Thanks again for all your help,
--Bob

---------------------
I just wanted to tell u that i had a great ride on the T2 2 weeks ago at a Half Im race. U would not believe how many people came up to me and said "nice bike"...even during racing when i was passing people or people passing me.
--Keith

---------------------
The new bike (T2) is dialed in now, and is a DREAM! i tell people i would never give up the Trident except for the new T2, and now its confirmed. stiff, smooth, excellent handling, aero, and beautiful.
--Chris

---------------------
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Having purchased your Victory model, and peppered you with many, many questions over the past few months (which you, Keith, so kindly and thoroughly answered), I have finally recorded my first 500 kms: Beautiful, comfortable (this says a lot considering the lunar-like roads of Montreal), responsive, and light. What more can someone ask for? Zilch. Congratulations to all of you for building such an excellent frame - the quality is truly impeccable and the post-sales support is equally unsurpassed. Kind regards and keep up the good work!
--Philippe

---------------------
I just wanted to let you know that Ed has not stopped smiling since he raced his T2 for the first time on Sunday. He shot off through transition faster than I had ever seen him ride. He says the bike is unbelievably smooth and he is all out to train to improve his times!

Best wishes,
--Claire

---------------------
I have been riding both my Pro Axe?s and Aro Svelte?s every single day and I must say I get more comfortable on them with each ride. I never had a bike before Aegis that I could say I have no interest in ever replacing. Now I just have to get my wife to ride hers some more.

--Kevin Sullivan

---------------------
I love my Aegis..... It is very light, extremely comfortable and very durable. I am very impressed! Awesome! Thanks, and keep making great bikes!
--Remington

---------------------
I just got back from ITU Worlds in Portugal. The Victory is unbelievable. It went great with an OK swim, a phenomenal bike that was all climbing, and a decent run. Came out 10th in the age group and about 20th overall. The bike flew up and was great descending- couldn't be happier. So, just wanted to fill you in and say thanks. Came out 10th in the age group and about 20th overall.

--Jon

---------------------
Chris Ball of the UK is very attached to his T2. It wasn?t always the case ? he was a little doubtful that a bike could be so good, but he completely changed after he rode one!! As a result, he is 45 seconds up on a 10mTT from last year.

--Chris

---------------------
I rode the T2 at Wildflower this weekend and I loved it!! Granted it was the very first time that I had ridden it,yes first time and 56 miles of a very tough, hilly course! The T2 feels very smooth, very stiff for climbing and very comfortable for the distance! It was a great ride, wow,

--Chad

---------------------
I wound up in late 1999 buying a the bike that seemed to best fit the bill - an Aegis 650c Trident - and within months, I won my first triathlon (age group) in South Carolina, after holding over 23mph on my bike split (about three MPH average faster than I could ever rev on the old Trek).

Since that time, I've bought and sold literally thousands of dollars worth of bikes looking for that "perfect ride." I sold my first Aegis and
rode a Litespeed Blade for close to a year, but she just didn't do the trick. Next, I moved to Cannondale - then tried Cervelo, Felt, Griffen and Quintana Roo. I tried all the exotic frame materials, from aluminum and titanium, to blended aluminum/carbon to metal matrix - all looking for a faster, more comfortable ride - all just to return to Aegis.

Throughout my triathlon career, I have purchased four Tridents and have put some 35,000 miles on them. Yes, I've continued to change componentry, but the heart of the bike - the aero carbon Trident tri frame, is the frame that gave me my fastest cycling averages five years ago and that has served as the foundation for all my bike comparisons since entering the sport - and is the bike that allows me to pass most easily through T2 onto the run course in pursuit of my Ironman racing goals.

Thanks, John

---------------------
I got to test ride a Aegis r/s victory for a month. And although the test bike was a bit small. I knew this was the bike I was looking for. I was very interested in carbon frames and road and borrowed everyone I could find. The Victory was the best with a Look 486 a close second. The first thing I liked was when I ordered the frame the company asked questions about me and my riding. Im 180 lbs sprinter type and do a lot of crits. They suggested the Race Stock with the bionic weave. I cant technicaly tell you how but this set up is a sprinters dream. I have only felt minor flex in full hard sprints and there is no loss of the comfortable carbon feel. This is the most comfortable bike I have owned or ridden. I also handles well in the corners. The NJcrit scene is full of sharp turns and attempts to avoid bad racers. The bike just complies with out pushing or getting that uncomfortable "where is the bike going feel" With frame weights dropping in any material I cant say its the lightest. But I do some climbing in upstate NY can feel the difference from other comprably priced aluminum and steel bikes. Not a fan of Ti. If your considering a carbon frame you really need to try an Aegis it is the best I found. The Victory r/s with bionic weave is a high end bike so if buget is a concern It may be out of reach but if Aegis other frames are made as well they may be an alternative. The Aegis I got was worth every penny!

--Road Racer

---------------------
I've had my Aero Svelte since 1999 and I get compliments everywhere I ride. This past October I road Lance's Ride for the Roses in Austin Texas and was stopped many times by fellow cyclists asking about my Aegis. It always stands out even when there are 4999 other cyclists.

--John

---------------------
I do love my Aegis bikes. I have two Pro Axe bikes I ride and they have proven to be the best mountain bikes I have ever owned; and I have owned titanium, steel and aluminum. Everyone is amazed how much of a beating they take. The four of us that have Aegis Pro Axe frames in our group I ride with still love our bikes while everyone else gets a new bike every year or two. If only they would listen and get an Aegis they wouldn't be getting a new one so often.

The Aro Svelte I have with Record components is the best fitting and most comfortable road bike I have ever ridden. Yet, the responsiveness is still there when you need it unlike the steel and titanium I have owned.

Between my wife and I we own six Aegis frames and as soon as my 2 and 4 year old sons are big enough to fit one they will getting Aegis bikes as well.

I rode one of my bikes every single day of this past year and wouldn't have wanted to do it on anything else.

Thanks,

Kevin

---------------------
I am so very impressed with your company and the work you all do; from working with me on the custom paint color to the extra "smokin" sticker to just being responsive to my many questions. And the work... WOW !! The guys at TriSpeed were all admiring it as unique and I took it to my local bike shop (where I get all my parts, etc.) and every customer and staff member in the place were walking around the bike and touching it like the art work that it is.

This is easily the best experience I have had with any product which I had input into and wish you all the continued success that you very much deserve. When I am looking for my time trial bike next year you will be getting a call .Thank you again.

--Bruce

---------------------
I wanted to thank you once again for all your time & effort on my behalf. Went for a LOOONG ride on my new bike -believe me, "Life Is Good". I'm still in awe of how terrific the new frame is - stiiff AND comfortable, climbs like a mountain goat, descends like a rocket 7 corners like its on rails. Well done! Thanks again. If I ever make it down to Maine, the beers are on me.

--Marc

---------------------
I ride my Shaman nearly every day. To show you how much I like this bike, since put it together about three months ago I've ridden my road bike 3 times, and my moutainbike hasn't moved. I'm really amazed at how stiff and yet smooth it is. I can keep up with anyone on a road bike, and smoke anyone on a mountainbike with this thing. I'm axiously awaiting summer when I can take it down to the Alps.

--Ken

---------------------
The T2 is very comfortable. I felt as if I was riding on glass roads. The bike just wanted to go fast, like a hot knife through butter. Stiff out of the saddle. Bottom line, fast and comfortable. I was impressed and it takes allot to impress me with bikes. Kudos Keith.

--Dave

---------------------
In 1999 I was able to start my cyclocross season on a Shaman. This bicycle totally transformed the way I could ride a cyclocross course, and on it I have won two National Medals as well as many local and regional races.

--Margaret

---------------------
The bike(2001 Aro Svelte) still rides like Rolls Royce in the guise of a Lamborgini. 20,000 elegant and hard miles to date

--Robert

---------------------
I picked up my new Victory from Rich Harper at John's Cyclery today. Just wanted to let you know I love the bike! I had it painted orange, with a yellow inside-out fade on the main triangle, and built up with Campy Chorus and Bontrager Race Lite wheels. It's absolutely, drop-dead gorgeous. And stiff. And light. And fast. Wow, I'm just blown away. I've been riding a custom Waterford RS-22 road sport for about two and a half years. I love it, too, have no intention of giving it up, but I feel like I've gone from a sedan to a sports car. I'm not worthy of the Aegis, but I promise to try to improve and do at least some justice to it. Thank you!!

--Judy

---------------------
I just wanted to write you a personal note. I picked up my Aegis Victory that you recommended very highly over the Look KG386. You took my "dream bike" list and followed thru with truly an amazing ride.

Let me tell you- the Victory frame is by far the stiffest, most responsive frame I have ever ridden, bar none. After pounding some mileage out, I decided to put it to the test. I picked a 65 mile route of rolling terrain with a few challenging climbs and a couple of fast downhills with some hairy "s" turns. Climbing in the saddle is amazing, every watt of power seems to go right to the drivetrain. Then jumping onto the hoods and rocketing up a hill out of the saddle the bike knows nothing other than to go forward, and fast at that. No creaks, no sqeaks, and no give in the frame, wheels, fork, or the handlebars.

Well, true to the test, 2 dogs started to chase me up a pretty good hill. I was already out of the saddle, but then I needed some extra speed so I wouldnt lose a foot to one of the dogs. I automatically went to shift to a higher gear forgeting I was going up a hill out of the saddle. Dude, seriously, the Dura Ace didnt hesitate, didnt "clank" on me, nor did it do anything other than glide like silk to the next highest. Unbelievable. The fork along with the Ksyurium SSC SL's are definitely the best combination for acceleration and climbing.  Totally sweet dude. The palms of my hands and elbows are very, very happy.  An excellent design, and a very well thought out bar.

All in all-  my Aegis Victory is by far the best handling, best looking, best road bike I have ever ridden since I started cycling back in 1983.

Thanks so much.
--Michael

---------------------
After a month in the saddle the bike is performing wonderfully. Every stroke has immediate impact upon acceleration, yet every bump is sucked up into the frame. It is so much fun to ride! Thanks again for a great frame!

--Scott

---------------------
First, riding this bike is like having the road repaved in front of you. Unbelievably smooth.  But not squishy at all - instantly responsive when I crank up the power.

Second, hills just aren't as steep on this bike.  Even out of shape after a two week vacation, I got up Beverly Glen Boulevard (about a 6% grade) in a gear two notches higher than I was able to previously - at the same cadence. The effect on the flats has been similar, but less scientifically measured, as I haven't hooked up the computer yet.

Third, after my positioning, it fits like a glove.  It's just amazingly comfortable

--John

---------------------
I finally got to ride it (Pro Axe) today and am impressed. Way smoother than anything I've rode before and certainly smoother than my Specialized. I was also impressed with it on the climbs. It just seems to hold it's ground and doesn't bounce around at all (if it does
bounce around I can't feel it). It's every bit as responsive as my Specialized with out the vibrations. I'll definitely be talking up Carbon
Fiber with all my buds. I also like the fit. It was only one ride but so far so good and I'm sure the more I ride it the better it'll get.

Thanks again and my hat's off to you for building such a good bike.
--Jeff

---------------------
The bike (Shaman) is absolutely amazing though, with a very firm and smooth ride.  The ride is so nice, it is hard to believe how stiff the frame is.  Powering up the hills it feels like every ounce of effort I expend goes into forward motion.  It sucks up the bumps and vibrations just incredibly--it feels awesome on cobblestones.  The thing climbs like a demon and flies over the trails.  Spots where I would labor along at a snails pace on my mountain bike , I'm now flying by like I was on the pavement.  I can't wait for this weekend to roll around so I can ride it some more....
--Kenneth

---------------------
My bike arrived here in Dallas on Thursday and I did a 10 mile tune-up Friday and a 20 miler with hills (yes, I live in a area of Dallas that actually has trees and hills) this morning. I couldn?t be more pleased with the responsiveness and acceleration. Even after being out of the saddle for the last eight or nine years, I was clicking away on the flats at 20+ mph, passing everyone in sight, many on their Trek 5200/5500s and one Calfee.   And the finish is beautiful.  Avi Byer, the salesman at Wrench Science, told me the day they assembled it that the frame was ?astounding?. When it arrived I saw exactly what he was talking about.

--Scott

---------------------
Just took my first ride on the new frame (2003 Aro Svelte- bionic weave) yesterday - WOW!!!!!!!! It's all you said and MORE. I couldn't get over how much stiffer it was than my old frame (1997 Aro) and how much more responsive. It was definitely worth the wait! Thanks again for the fantastic frame. Hope to hear from you soon.

I own the most beautiful bike in Utah! It is my pride and joy-an Aegis Aro Svelte. It is the four tone flame pattern (from lobster head tube to black bear chainstays.

I just spoke with Rick at Cyclists Connection. I had no Idea I was Communicating With The Owner (or one of the owners) of Aegis. As a person who owns his own company, I really appreciate another owner taking the time and the interest in a perspective customer. OK, well, you got a new customer. . . . Thank you for your insight, and for paying attention to a potential customer, because, now you have a new CUSTOMER and a rider who will (believe me) tout your brand.

. . . I have friends with AEGIS, and I could see a huge difference in their riding. I felt like I was flying when I tried mine.

The only cf frame I had ridden are Trek road bikes which I did not like. Your bikes deaden the resonance but don't feel like dead wood.
Most cross bike are alu or steel, the alu cx bikes did not compare in ride quality and the cx steel frames are prone to rust, paint chipping and are flexy in comparison. Besides that this frame rode better than alu and steel, it is stiffer, more durable, has better fit/finish and will withstand to the vigors of offseason cx racing and training and also very responsive on singletrack. No one else is building high quality cf frames for cx probably becuase they can not make them durable enough or becuase of material perception. I wanted more than the $1000 typical steel cx frame but didn't want to build a custom ti frame for $3k for cx use either. I've read website
reviews/discussions of the Shaman and onwers were very pleased with the product and service. Also, Brendan who owns Alberto's reccommended this bike based on what I mentioned above. It's a bueatiful bike.

This is my second Aegis Trident Frame. The first was a red 650c that I loved but was stolen. I loved that bike so much that when I looked at replacing it, I returned to Aegis. I will recommend you all to everyone who will listen. Thanks for making me such a beautiful bike.

--Marc Schneider

---------------------
I absolutely love the bike (Aro Svelte). I attained 65 miles per hour on a down hill at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho at the triathlon national championships.  The bike was rock steady at 65mph . . .

I can't tell you how many compliments I get on the ProAxe. I have had it since January 2000, and it's hands down the best bike around. Thanks again.

--Greg Keefer

I did IM Brazil on my Aegis Swift . . . and it rocked! The bike took 45 minutes off my previous IM time!!! It's all about the bike! Thanks again - I LOVE MY BIKE!

--LeAnn Nienow

I have been riding my Aegis Trident for a little over a year now and have had incredible improvements in my racing. I recently had the fastest bike split in my age group at the Buffalo Springs lake 1/2 ironman. This helped me to win my age group as well as earn a slot to the Hawaii Ironman World Championships in October. Fortunately, I had already earned a slot at the 2002 Florida Ironman where I had a personal best 5:20 for the 112 bike ride. I credit my Aegis Trident for helping me to move my biking to a new level.

--Samantha Kenney

---------------------
I have been doing a ton of riding this year and I just felt I needed to give you some encouragement.  I have been riding my Aro Svelte and it is the most comfortable road bike I have ever ridden.  I use to do 20,000 plus miles per year in my younger days and I wish it was on the Aegis.  I will have to pick up a Victory once I finish law school.

The Pro Axe is also incredible.  I have been riding that a lot also and all the people I ride with keep asking me about it and how strong it is. Once they see me at the front of the group beating the crap out of it they understand why I love it so much and I think they understand it can take a beating.  My wife is riding her Swift a few times per week and I never hear her complain about fatigue, which was the problem when she was riding aluminum.  She also has a Pro Axe, but she has turned all road lately.

After a long wait, I've had my Aegis Victory for about a week. It is without a doubt the best bike I have ever owned. I'm not coming off some 20 year old bike either, I must have about $20,000 worth of bikes in my garage. The Victory is sooooo comfy. I road about 60 miles on Saturday over terrible roads and barely noticed the chatter. What is amazing is that even though the bike is comfy, it is still very stiff. It accelerates and climbs like a dream. Although I'm sure you guys already know all this. Well worth the wait!!

--Anthony Pace

I have had great success with these bikes belive me they are the best carbon frames money can buy. I've sold treks for years and have ridden carbon for many years THESE ARE THE SMOOTHEST MOST RIDGED FANTASTIC CLIMBING AND EXCELLERATING BIKES YOU WILL EVER RIDE. And all at the same price you would pay for astock run of the mill every bodys got one trek.

--Ryan and the Bicycle Center

---------------------
MLove that frame (Victory)! Incredibly light and stiff.I test my fitness on one particular 1 mi long, 10-15% grade hill near my home - I set a PR on that also. I'm hooked on Aegis. And I thought my old Colnago titanium frame was light and stiff! I leave for the mountains of Colorado in 3 weeks - I'm psyched!

--Paul C. Listerman

---------------------
I love that bicycle (Trident)! It's a work of art that rides like a dream!Thank you.

I just wanted to say that I wrote a testimonial in January and I have more to add to it. I took my Aegis Trident through the ultimate test. I rode 50 miles in the western Nevada area. This ride started with a fairly flat yet rough rode. The pavement is grooved so that car drivers do not fall asleep at the wheel. So it's quite rough. I could hear the vibration but the ride remained smooth. After 10 miles I went into a 9 mile climb that takes you from about 4500 feet to 6700 feet. Basically a 2000 foot climb. I was a bit conservative, but the bike climbed like a dream. My heart rate was low and my legs never burned. I truly enjoyed the climb! Next is the best part of climbing, the down hill. I reached speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour and had no problems with controlling my Trident. It responded just as I hoped it would through the winding road. Once at the bottom of the mountain I had a few miles of flat terrain and went back into another 1.5 mile climb. This climb starts easy and gets steeper and steeper until you reach the top. No Problem! The last 7 miles of the ride are flat with some wind. My Trident rode as smooth as ever and my legs were still fresh. Once I completed the ride I really felt like doing it again. It's not in my training plan at the moment but it felt great to have fresh legs after riding through all the different types of terrain. The Trident pased the test!! Overall the Trident is light, stiff, fast and smooth. It's a quiet, solid ride and this allows for a fast ride and a great run during a triathlon. I have to say that the Aegis Trident is the best bike I've ever owned. As a Triathlon coach and athlete, I would highly recommend this bike to anyone whether you are a beginner or professional. This bike will take you to the next level!!

--Ray Henderson, USAT Level 1 Coach

---------------------
I have been riding and racing an Aegis Aro Svelte for 4 years and have been blown away by the quality of ride . . . . My Aegis road bike decends like it is on rails. 55+ mph is not scary!

--Bob Makofsky

---------------------
I have been racing for over 20 years and I don't know if other riders tell you this, but the frames you make are definitely the best criterium frames out there. The raised bottom bracket and shorter stays brought the rear wheel underneath the saddle. With that geometry you end up being the only person who can still pedal through the tight turns while having a quicker acceleration in the jumps due to the shorter chainstays.

--Robert Hicken, Cat 1

---------------------
I never heard of Aegis until meeting a fellow cyclist who owned one while riding across the US - 1996 America By Bicycle tour. At the time I had a Trek 2100. Started training with a group of riders from Matt's All American Bikes shop. Test rode a demo model and was hooked. Trained with the gang on weekends and used my bike in many triathlons over the years in Maryland. Now a resident in San Diego, I use my Aegis to commute to work 31 miles round trip practically every day. I have logged over 13K miles on it. Looking forward to the next 13K miles of pure riding adventure on my Aegis.

--Joe DeAngelo

---------------------
In the last few weeks I've put in a couple hundred miles in on my bike . . . What a fantastic ride!! It's smooth and quiet and I feel like I can ride it all day. I feel fresh when I get off unless my quads are tired from climbing a mountain that is at an 8 to 10% grade and I still haven't changed my rear cassette to something bigger. I'm riding an 11-21 on the back. So my cadence slows down too much and I just keep going burning my quads. Although on this specific climb I caught a local guy and would have beaten him if we hadn't reached the top. I was really proud of myself, and the bike climbs like a charm. The bike is everything I've ever wanted in a bike! Thank you for the help!!

--Ray Henderson

I have to tell you that I could not be more pleased with my bike. I have been meaning to write you for sometime now to say thank you! After purchasing my bike over a year ago, I have decided to make the first step toward ultra racing. My first race will be Feb. 22, 2003, a 24 HR RAAM qualifier. My Swift ("Scooby") and I plan to see just how far we can go.

When I bought her in 2001, she was my first road bike (actually first real bike of any kind). I was inspired to start riding after Spinning at the gym. I had a lot of weight to loose and riding just felt like the right path for me. I weighed over 240 lbs so I knew I needed a good strong frame, but the extra shock absorption as well. A road bike and that kind of weight don't seem to be a real good combination. At least in most cases! "Scooby" didn't care how much I weighed, she just wanted to ride. Everyday, (except when it rains, she doesn't mind getting wet, but I do) we are out on the streets of Memphis. She has helped me to lose about 70lbs and dream dreams I never knew were possible! Our philosophy has been simple, Every Mile Counts!

Someday, when I get a few races under my belt, you will here from me again. I want to ride for Aegis. I feel like "Scooby" is a lot like me, she is strong and determined and will never give up. That is what I want to represent. I may not be a world class athlete and I may never actually cross the finish line first, but every time try I am a winner. I was like so many people out there who sit on the sidelines and let life pass them by. I was willing to settle. Now every time I climb into the saddle, I am alive. I will no longer settle for anything more than my best, and having the right equipment made by people who care makes all the difference in the world. Thank you for helping me to dream!

--T.M.

---------------------
Just a thank you. Thirty miles per hour and slightly distracted, my Aro and I hit a six inch curb. While I gracefully flew through the air and then through a wooded horse fence, my bike took its own independent course, After checking to see if I was still alive and the blood was only decorative, I checked my bike. There was a small lentil sized chip of paint missing. Totally embarrassed by the loss of aesthetic, I raced the last 30 miles home. Thank you for an incredible bike. Even I, in spandex, am not as cute.

--Robert Harris

---------------------
I have been in love with this frame for 9 years and haven't been on any other road bike since.

--Ken Graham

---------------------
My Trident rocks! I just finished Great Floridian and had a great bike leg. Give my thanks to the manufacturing team for making a great frame!

--Andrew Pemberton

---------------------
Just thought you?d be proud to know I kept my Aegis Trident up to 20.0 mph for the full 112 miles in the Florida Ironman last Saturday. That was my only real impressive time (I took over 7 hours on the marathon...walking most of it and chatting with a guy to keep him going from mile 14-25). The bike felt so great and I was glad to see so many others there!

--Jeff Miller, Director, Bicycle Coalition of Maine

---------------------
I just received my Race Stock Aero Svelte (Lupine/no decals) from Cycle Sports at North Platte, Nebraska. My first ride on it was yesterday and 57 miles. Half was moderate climbing. I did NOT have to shift to the lower gears to make any of the climbs and I do NOT consider myself a strong climber. This is the 4th Aero Svelte I have owned but it has been almost 4 years since my last. I have been trying different labels. I had forgotten how good the ride is and especially the climbing. I will never be without this bike again. I am 6' tall and ride the 52cm very comfortably, which is a most unusual fitting. So...I have a lighter, smaller bike that is an absolute blast to ride. If you don't have one now, I hope you are able to get one soon.

--Kent Magnuson

---------------------
I rode the Aegis demo bike that Chris Love from Landry's Cycling procured for me last weekend at the Great Floridian Iron Distance triathlon.I am 40 years old, with 5 children, so my back has taken a lot of abuse from carrying children around. The first thing I didn't notice when I got off the Aegis the first time was pain. It took me several moments to realize what was wrong with me. Usually, I got off the bike and it would take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour to actually be able to stand up straight. I got off the Aegis and walked upright right away. It's funny the things that you don't notice until you make a change.

I rode the Aegis at the Great Floridian after only riding it for two and a half weeks. I raced IM Wisconsin only 5 weeks earlier, so I was not expecting great things. I was comfortable the entire 118 mile bike ride. (The course was 6 miles too long!) Furthermore, I got off the bike with legs that felt strong enough to run a marathon. I won my age group by 25 minutes with my bike split saving me from a dismal marathon (severe asthma attack at mile 14 with my inhaler 6 miles away forced me to walk for 5 miles) I accomplished that with what I later found out to out to be a serious sinus infection (which didn't help the asthma!). Friends tried to talk me out of racing on a bike that was new to me, but I felt so comfortable on it that I decided to take the chance. I am amazed at the difference that I felt riding the Aegis compared to the Ironman ride I had on my QR 5 weeks earlier.

--Kathy Kinz-Smith

---------------------
I continue to be amazed by the quality of the ride and how much my biking has improved since buying the Victory! Pass on my praise and thanks to the whole Aegis team! I talk your product up often.

--F. Al Riley

The Aegis (Trident) was awesome . . . sooo comfortable over 112 very rough miles.

--Tom Nelson

---------------------
My name is Jon Wallace and I have been doing Tri's for about 6 years. I Have owned several different brands of Time Trial/Tri bikes. All of the bikes I have owned have been considered to be top quality pro grade bikes. Working in the bike industry and as a field rep for Aegis bikes, I had in my possession an Aegis Trident that was a demo bike. That is, it was meant to be left at shops and ridden by prospective customers. I recently got the bike back from a shop and knowing I had two Tri's in the next month, I decided to ride the trident at those races. Well much to my surprise, having not trained appropriately for either race, I was able to set PR's in the bike split and rode faster in both races than I had ever ridden in a race previously. Finishing 2nd overall in the second race and actually getting up on the podium. A level I had never previously attained. While certainly the bike is not 100% of any triathlon story, I attribute a good bit of this recent success to the Aegis Trident. A side story to this is that I loaned the very same bike to a young man who had had his racing bike stolen the night before a half ironman and he PR'd on the bike the very next day! So in the end, I was impressed enough with the performance of the bike, that I placed my order this morning with Aegis for my own personal Trident that I will build over the winter and ride for the 2003 Tri season. I cannot give a higher testimonial to you than that.

--Jon Wallace

---------------------
First of all, thanks for the awesome bike. This Trident is simply amazing. My last bike was an Independent Fabrication, and I wasn't sure how this would compare to what is arguably one of the nicest steel frames out there. The attention to detail and finish on the Trident is just as nice as my all IF, but it is the weight and the comfort of the carbon fiber that blows me away. This bike is the most comfortable one I've ever ridden. I actually find myself looking for cracks in the road to run over! And the thing is just a rocket! It just plain goes fast! I can't wait to race on it and see some results. To sum it up, every mile on the Aegis confirms the fact that it is the best bike I have ever ridden. Thanks again.

--R.L.

---------------------
With many bikes I have ridden in the past, there has been a trade off. Comfort was sacrificed for stiffness or stiffness was sacrificed for comfort. The Victory is the best bicycle I have experienced for providing both stiffness and comfort at the same time, showing how Aegis really knows how to make the most of carbon fiber's unique qualities. It is responsive in a race while also being the perfect companion for longer training rides!

--M.N.

---------------------
This is the best bike I have ever ridden. I'm a hill climber freak and this bike climbs so well. For the two last years, with my proaxe, every race I've entered I've always finished in the top 4. Thank you for giving me better result in race.

--S.B.

---------------------
Hi Folks. Just wanted to pass on my feelings for my Aegis Trident. I purchased my Trident last year through Mountain Peddler in Minturn, Colorado. My first race was Ironman U.S.A. in Lake Placid. It took me a while to figure why I had a hoarse voice after the race until I realized it was from yelling "On your Left!" as I flew by everybody on the downhills. This bike is a Rocket Ship!! Now I have my homework cut out for me to get my cycling up to the level of the machine. Your workmanship is of the highest quality, I couldn't be happier. Its just an added bonus you guys are from New England, my old stomping grounds . . . . Keep up the good work.

--H.M.

---------------------
k.. got the bike (Trident) Friday.. did a 70 miler Sat -- and then a 13 mile run.. I felt GREAT!! the bike is like butter.. love it!! huge difference.. took pics of it.. just havent downloaded to the computer yet.. but it truly is a work of art - I'm just wondering where Aegis hid the motor on it.. becuase I was about 2mph - 3mph faster!!! Thanks again for all!! IM SOO HAPPY WITH MY SMILEY BIKE!! the yellow is sooo me!!

--Leann

---------------------
I must say that this bike (Victory Race Stock) is truly a world class machine that any road snob would love. The bike really surprised me in many ways. For one It climbs way better than I would have guessed. The front end is so much more solid than the svelte. Between the 1-1/8 steerer, stiffer fork and a longer head tube you end up with a rock solid front end. The Rear end was also stiffer than I had expected.

--J.F.

---------------------
I actually own two Aegis frames at the moment, a beautiful Trident and a totally slick Aero Svelt. I am so happy with both frames that I am looking into investing into one of your mountain bikes for my upcoming Xterra season. I honestly can not say enough wonderful things about the quality craftsmanship, looks, and most importantly the comfort of Aegis bicycles.

--N.L.

---------------------
Great ride at a sane price with a great warranty. I tried numerous bikes including Trek OCLV 5200, Serota Colorado, and Lemond Zurich. None came close in ride quality. I was particularly surprised about how different--and better, in my opinion--the Aegis felt compared to the Trek 5200.

--R.W.

---------------------
I purchased the Aro Svelte from Licktons in Oak Park Illinois last year and I must say of the four bikes I have owned there is no turning back. The custom red fade to white fade to blue always draws attention. This bad boy corners better than my dogs and provides for a very comfortable ride. I can't imagine riding any other bike.

--J.S.

---------------------
The Victory is an incredible ride. Anyone who thinks that carbon fiber is mushy has never ridden this bike. I'm not super technical when evaluating the way a bike rides. I look for the way it fits, if it's responsive, and if it feels fast. This bike is unbelievably comfortable, responsive, and fast! I'm really impressed, you guys did an amazing job! Gotta go ride.

--E.H.

---------------------
The bike [ProAxe] climbs like a fiend - I've never ridden anything like it. It's also exceptionally smooth through bumps and down hill. It really inspires confidence to just let it rip. I'll give you a more complete review after I've had time to really get out and ride.

--A.W.

Just think, cruising down the open road at 25mph with the wind in your hair, the sun at your back, and with virtually no effort because the AEGIS is on cruise control. And you hear this little voice as the AEGIS says 'I can go faster for you if  you would like and it will cost you no extra effort.' So you say 'OK!' And you come to your first hill and the AEGIS says 'Hey, let me do this for you.......!' And you say 'OK!' And the AEGIS whisks you up the hill with grace and ease and speed. And your senses start to reel as you realize that you are on something very, very special. And you say to yourself let's see what this baby can really do. So you start to push hard and the AEGIS says 'No problem!' and it instantly responds with higher and yet more effortless speed. And your spirit soars because there is nothing on the open road that you and the AEGIS can't handle. No hill, no wind, no competitor, no amount of mileage........nothing can slow you down. Nothing can stop you! And you begin to reach cycling nirvana and your spirit soars even higher. You have now reached and are maintaining the bikers high! You feel as though you are flying. You're screaming down the open road. The tires are whistling, a perfect riding microcosm surrounds you and the bike. The AEGIS is in perfect harmony with your body. Endorphins are screaming throughout your entire body and yet you are barely breathing and the AEGIS says, 'If you think this is as fast as I can go, you must be dreaming!' And it accelerates to speeds that heretofore you could only imagine. And your vision blurs you are going so fast and you've covered 100 miles and it feels as if you've just started. You feel as though you are traveling impossibly fast and yet there is still no effort. You are still not winded. And the AEGIS says 'Are you ready to really ride!' And you haven't begun to sweat, your pulse is barely elevated because the AEGIS is such an awesome machine. And you feel like you are riding a mythical being of awesome beauty, power, swiftness, grace and control. The combination of a gazelle and a cheetah. Blinding speed, graze beyond compare with the ultimate control to exact impossible turns and the ability to explode into impossible velocities. And the AEGIS says to you,  as you are dizzy with euphoria, as you are still riding with unbelievable power, as you still have energy to burn, as you are coming to grips with the most amazing bike you have ever been involved with, 'Are you done warming up? Let's stop fooling around because I am ready to go........!' AEGIS - There is no substitute! You are right. My eyes are still glowing, steam is still coming out of my ears and yes I feel transformed. I have just relived a ride with my AEGIS and there is a tear in the space-time continuum. The fabric of  life changed for me for but a brief moment, as if I was actually riding........

--Frank

---------------------
Just wanted to thank all of you for the great work you did on the bike. The frame came in yesterday and is already built up. It is truly an amazing ride. I appreciate the effort that went into the whole project.
I am considering riding the bike as is on the 7 day Amsterdam to Paris AIDS ride in July. It will be a real challenge to ride 600 miles on the bike as a track bike, but will be a dream ride all the same.

--R.P.

---------------------
So, what does it feel like to be right? I am eating a lot of my words just about now. I picked up my Aegis on Monday (my husband's and mine anniversary - what a great way to spend it!) and it is gorgeous!!!!!! It was quite cold out, so I only rode it a brief bit around the shop just to check it out and I can't believe it. I could swear it was going to > take off without me! It felt a great deal like being on the back of my dog sled when the dogs get going - hang on or fall of! I can tell that kind of responsiveness is going to take a lot of getting used to. The size (as you assured me) feels great. But I will know more when I can really get out and on it. I had planned to spend yesterday with the bike on the trainer doing all the measurements and adjusting but, as fate would have it, I had an accident (not with the bike) got a nasty concussion and have to take it easy for awhile. So, it hangs on special hooks on the porch and I go by and look at it every so often. Like every 10 minutes. I think the seat height is just about perfect and the only tinkering may come in with the handlebars as I have a very long reach. But Lyn assures me that is easily done. After it was assembled and before I could get down to pick it up, Lyn had it on display (with a nice 'do not touch' sign on it) and a cycling friend of mine stopped in and saw it. He called me the day I picked it up with more than a tinge of envy in his voice. He also cheerfully let me know the back cassette was not going to be any good for hill climbing. Ha! If this bike responds on hills anywhere near it responds on flats, just watch out! I can't thank you enough for making it possible for me to own this machine. The paint job is out of this world.

--J.B.

---------------------
I want you to know that I have been happily riding an Aegis frame for the past ten years and I anticipate riding this frame in all my races for the next ten years. I fully believe in your craftsmanship and your warranty program. You repaired my frame and rear derailleur hanger free of charge in 1994 and that has not been forgotten. I will continue to promote your frames since I continuously get comment on my bike. I spent the past 6 years in Hawaii and I had the only Aegis frame when I arrived but when I left, there were 12

--B.G.

---------------------
I chose Aegis over other carbon frames for a few reasons...first I believe that Aegis has better customer service than most of the other companies out there... working for a bike shop and talking to all different companies you can tell which ones have good customer service and Aegis is that.. another reason is that I've always purchased bikes from smaller companies rather than large ones... not that Aegis is a really small company or anything but you don't see them as often as Kestrel or whomever.. so in a nutshell its something a little different.. the custom options in the paint and decals are great too and show that they will take time with your product... that is my two cents... thanks for reading my opinion

--B.S.

---------------------
Just got my new Trident tonight (black with gold trim). It  is awesome! Can't wait to ride it this weekend. What beautiful craftsmanship! If it rides as good as it looks..... I was so impressed I "sold" one of my good friends on it and he's going to get sized up. Thanks for your team's attention to detail and I look forward to being an  ambassador for Aegis (particularly if it helps these old age grouper bones go faster)!

--R.G.

---------------------
I took our Trident out for a spin today...WOW ! I've ridden a lot of bikes, but none more pleasurable,... and fast! holy moly!

--James

---------------------
The quality is exceptional - much nicer finish than OCLV

--S.G.

---------------------
Well this is a very happy "G.I."!!!! I'm in awe of this 650 Swift....Very forgiving on the road and I might add, it's a conversation piece! I'm getting stopped at stop signs by cars and fellow cyclists alike and wanting to know what kind of bike this is and well, yes the paint job is getting a lot of attention! You folks did the Stars and Stripes for me (G.I.Jane)....It's been in a major newspaper already and will be on TV and possibly the ARMY TIMES and yet another newspaper wants to do a story on me AND the bike! So I will again make sure your credited with the great job you are doing, not just with great "paint" jobs you already do, but with the making of such great products. Keep up the good work! And I know that times are a little hard right now but keep as strong as you can, and take one day at a time....Things WILL get better in time, you just must be patient.....Again, I can't thank you enough without "over" doing it.....God Bless....LOVE.

What a difference carbon fiber makes! When we last talked at Wildflower, you had mentioned how obvious the difference would be, but I never imagined this difference. As soon as the bike was built I had my first race, just 2 days later! The Ultimate Escape not only turned out to be my first race in that I had the fastest overall bike split, it was my first overall win. Immediately the Aegis turned into my good luck charm . . .

The true test was going to be Hawaii. In the past my bike leg was marred by lower back pain and a general discomfort after roughly 85 miles. The Aegis held true to form; I was completely comfortable the entire ride. I can honestly say that on the Aegis I had no real concerns with side wind gusts of up to 60 mph. Riding into the famous head winds the bike felt stiff. What an enjoyable leg of Ironman when the first few miles of the run I am not trying to loosen up my back.
--C.H.

---------------------
Not only does it look unique, it rides like a dream . . . I think it reduces all vibration and feels stiff and light. It was also great being able to specify exactly what I wanted, unlike going to a bike shop and finding what you want 'off the rack'. A semi-custom bike without the extra price. Trek OCLV was comparable, but you had no choice as to groupo, wheels, etc. With Aegis and my bike dealer, Bike Junkie, I got what I wanted. It took a month due to special finish options, but it was worth the wait. Thank You!

--P.G.

---------------------
Hey, just wanted to let you folks know how great my bike is. I swear there's a little motor in there somewhere - this thing just flies! I absolutely love it, and I am extremely pleased. The Cyclist Connection in Canal Winchester, Ohio is doing a great job marketing this bike and putting them together! I finally have a bike that fits me to a tea!!!! Thanks again.
--D.B

---------------------
In regards to my Aegis... I love it. I was riding a hand-me-down 11 year old aluminum Cannondale for 4 years and upgrading to the Aegis carbon fiber was like going from a VW Beetle to a BMW. I love my bike more than my car, my house, and even sometimes my family!!! I definitely think the new bike has stepped up my training and racing to a new level. I just started riding the bike last summer and it was the first season in 6 years of racing at Nationals that I have qualified for the World Triathlon Championships.
I have also noticed that the quality of my run in my triathlons has increased tremendously, I am running PRs every race... and always feel awesome when running after riding. I even have a better 10k time in a triathlon than in an open 10k.

Thanks, I have to tell you, I love the bike. It is without a doubt the most comfortable ride I have ever experienced and I have been riding for a long time. Although my friends ride [other bikes] they never fail to tell me how much they like my Aegis. Now that I have a jersey, I can swag off the bike as well, with modesty of course. I truly look forward to a long relationship with Aegis as I can't see me riding any other bike. My reasons go beyond the bike. Everyone I have had any dealings with at Aegis have been very helpful and a pleasure. Best of luck in the future. A very satisfied rider.

As soon as I started riding my Trident I could feel a difference in my aero position. I've ridden aluminum frames all my life and the difference that carbon fiber makes is huge. You feel more comfortable on the longer rides and it's a responsible bike in the sprints we so often have at draft-legal races. Last month I won the Junior Elite at St. Anthony's and riding my Aegis Trident had a lot to do with my performance as I started the run fresher. Aegis is a small company that has a right to be proud about their carbon fiber bicycles. They care a lot about their customers and are definitely the best company with the best triathlon bike out there.

I have been riding my Aro Svelte for the past month and it is a dream machine. I do try to ride almost everyday since it is a pleasure to ride. The responsiveness is second to none and it is one of the most comfortable street bikes that I have ever used. I would say Aro Svelte is the best in the market on all categories specially comfort, responsiveness and handling. Thanks.

I teach classes of 15+ cyclists and am a tri coach to many more. I am consistently being asked my opinion of things. I am a very detail oriented person and do my research . . . My research has left me wanting to have an Aegis. I demo'd several other brands and think that Aegis is the best overall. The ride quality is superior and the stiffness beyond compare.

I had a pretty good race this weekend (Pan American Championships). It was a stellar field and I finished mid-pack, not bad for the first race of the season while training for Ironman as well. I have never talked to so many people about a bike in my life!!! The frame [Trident] just jumps out at people and they can't help but ask questions and check it out; both age-groupers and pros as well! I can't overstate people's reaction, it blew me away.

The Aegis Shaman is by far the best handling cyclocross bike I have ever raced. In fact, it carried me to a bronze medal podium position at cyclocross nationals in my category on the very snowy and icy course in Overland Park, Kansas. I was also able to win the New York State Cyclocross Series while racing on the Shaman, through a season of races loaded with sloppy and unpredictable conditions. My Shaman is quick and sure on any sketchy surface, and it really rocks on pavement. I enjoyed riding it so much that for the summer of 2000 I changed stem and chainrings on it so that I could ride it on the road. What a great climber! I was so sold on its riding that I purchased an Aro Svelte with the Race Stock layup option late last fall. I own many fine bikes including titanium and steel, but I am SOLD on the ride of the Aegis bikes and am anxiously awaiting the 2001 road racing season. Thanks Aegis for such wonderful bikes!

The frames came Friday and I spent the weekend putting them together. They look great and I road one today. What can I say, the bike is just fast! Engine or not, it could ghost ride at 30mph! ... Thanks for all your help.

I am having a love-affair with my new Aro Svelte.  I'm sneaking out of the house for rides, getting back way too late, and feel like I need to apologize to my wife.  It's the best road bike I've ever ridden.

I can't tell you how pleased I am with your bicycles - smooth, fast, comfortable and attractive.  I am an avid spokesman for your product here in North Carolina.  I will undoubtedly be a LOYAL Aegis rider until  I am no longer able to ride.  Thanks for the great service!

Aegis makes a great bike! Light, aero, stiff and fast. Built by a company that is small and cares about their customers. We have over 100 Aegis bikes sold to our customers and get nothing but positive feedback. And you can customize your paint work too. Overall, they make a wonderful bike that you will be pleased with using for years to come.

I purchased my Aegis Aro Svelte in December 1999 and all I can say is: 'Lordy, Lordy,  what a machine!.' The impossible combination of stiffness and compliancy with speed galore. This bike is fast just standing still! I love it and can't imagine myself riding anything else. Two of my friends also have Aegis Aro Sveltes and we turn quite a lot of heads when we ride together! Thanks for building such a 'dream machine'! Exquisite quality!

As an amateur triathlete, I am always looking for an edge.   I found it this year in my new Trident.   Smooth and fast!   At all seven southeastern events I participated in this year, people commented on it's aerodynamic good looks.  It really does command attention.

The bike is really a sight to behold. The weave with the yellow fade was pure eye candy.  I figured if the bike rode half as good as it looked I would be in for one hell of a ride. The bike rides better than it's looks. The only way I can put it into words is to say it's a combination of impossibilities. The stiffness makes it an incredible climber and sprinter, yet doesn't beat up my back. The handling is super fast, yet the bike is ultra stable at 45mph. The geometry makes for a nice stretched out position, but isn't uncomfortable over the long haul.  I just raced the bike for the first time in a local crit. series. The finish is always a fast sprint uphill. On my previous bike (which was a quality ride by a huge domestic maker of carbon bikes) it wasn't uncommon to have the chain pulled off the 53t chainwheel while sprinting uphill. This time at the finish I saw an opening, pointed the Aegis and hit the gas. The bike lunged ahead and tracked straight and fast. Consequently, I won!  This bike is like an addictive drug. Looking forward to being hooked for many years.  Keep up the great work.

I received my new Aro Svelte from Allen of Bike and Ski Sports in Minden, NV about a week ago. I have previously ridden a titanium frame road bike for about 10 years and was very pleased overall. Wanting to try something new, I test rode the Aro Svelte several times at another dealer in Reno. I have ridden this new Aro Svelte about 400 miles the past week and it is, by far, the smoothest riding bike I have ever had the pleasure to straddle. I am a recreational rider for fitness and general good health and could not have chosen a finer ride than the Aro Svelte. I plan to ride about 12,000 miles this year. Road vibration is almost nil. Climbs feel more effortless and, overall, this wonderful bike is difficult to stop riding for even a few hours. I cannot say enough about your product. You have done well and I feel fortunate to have such a beautiful bike. You are the best.
--K.M.

Wow, again. I've never had a bike [ProAxe] that climbs, handles, and absorbs so well. I had a couple bikes a few years ago that I felt were good climbers.  I have compromised the climbing ability for lighter/quicker bikes.  Now I don't have to.  This bike is so well balanced also. I don't know if that makes sense, but it is just so easy to "throw around" when maneuvering.

I have been nothing less than thrilled with my Trident . . . The Trident destroys aluminum frames in terms of comfort and handling.  To tell you the truth, I wasn't looking forward to such a long ride in Kona last October, but was surprised by the difference in carbon fiber versus aluminum.  What a difference!  Thanks for the great piece of Aegis technology.
--David Lovell

---------------------
The new Aegis Trident is the perfect bike in the race against the clock.  Triathletes will love the moderate forward position and how the carbon fiber frame dampens road shock allowing for a stronger run.  Time trialists will love the superior aerodynamics and lateral stiffness.  Overall, the fastest time trial frameset on the planet.
